5.2

Initialization

Your system was initialized at the factory. We recommend you only make changes to the system
configuration, and do not perform the initialization process at your side.
5.3

System Configuration Change

The configuration of the disk array unit can be changed according to the procedures described below
when it is required due to a system change or for some other reason. The network configuration and
license unlocking are enabled by the WebSAM NEC Storage Manager.
To change from the disk array controller of the single controller model to that of the dual controller
model, first confirm that Controller 1 is activated normally (the DIR LED blinks regularly) and then
start the Setup Wizard to provide [Host port configuration] and [Network configuration] in [System
configuration change or Addition]

Confirm that the target disk array unit is correct.

Set the port connection platform and FC port information.

Set the FC and/or SATA disk enclosure information.

Confirm the connection of the FC and/or SATA disk enclosure.

Set the disk array unit network information.

Confirm that the settings contents are correct and upload the
configuration. See "5.3 (8) Confirmation of configuration" and "5.3 (9)

Confirm that the configuration is correct.

If the configuration fails, check the status of the disk array unit.
