Always loosen the wheel nuts before raising the vehicle. Turn the
wheel nuts counter clockwise to loosen as per the crisscross
sequence shown. To get maximum leverage, fit the spanner to the
nut so that the handle is on the left side. Grab the spanner near the
end of the handle and push down on the handle. Be careful that the
spanner does not slip off the nut. Do not remove the nuts, but
loosen them by one or two turns.
Do not apply force with your legs (or stand) on the wheel
spanner while loosening/tightening the wheel nuts.
