cluster. Turn the ignition OFF, wait for approximately 90 sec and try
starting the engine again. If the vehicle still does not start contact

If the engine speed does not increase when the accelerator pedal is
depressed, there may be a problem in the Engine Management
System, electrical or electronic controls. In case of certain faults,
the engine may go to limp home mode, which is indicated by the

13.3 Vehicle Overheating

If the needle in the temperature gauge in the instrument cluster is
all the way up to the H and/or the high engine coolant temperature
warning lamp is ON, your engine has overheated.
Upon engine getting overheated, the Engine Management System
reduces engine power substantially and may even shut the engine
OFF; it is dangerous to continue driving when the engine has
overheated. You need to first cool the engine down before starting
to drive again.
Follow the below instructions to cool the engine down
• Progressively reduce the vehicle speed and bring the vehicle to a
stop at the side of the road
• Turn ON the hazard warning flashers
• Keep the engine running at idle
• Engage the parking brake
• Switch off the air conditioner
• You can keep the AC blower speed at maximum and set the
temperature control knob to the extreme end of the hot zone
(clockwise end)
