Note If the script displays the above message, you can proceed with the upgrade to
2.0 without completing the other steps in this section.
If there is not enough space for the upgrade procedure, the script displays:
SM-WS5000> launch -c /image/PreUpgradeScript freemem

Not enough space to continue with upgrade ... !!
NOTE: Freeing up the space might make system unusable if the actual upgrade procedure fails. Do you
want me to free some space or Exit (y/n):
If you specify yes, the script frees the space needed for the upgrade. After this completes, the switch is
ready for the upgrade. After space is available, the following message appears:
Do you want me to free some space or Exit (y/n): y
Sure I will go ahead and free .. !!

2.2.1.2 Upgrading the Switch

To upgrade to from WS5000 1.4/1.4.1 or WS5000 Series Switch 1.1v49 to the WS5000 2.0 baseline:
1. Copy the WS5000_v2.0.0.0-xxxx.sys.kdi image (using ftp) to the system to be upgraded. Use the
following command under the cfg mode of the CLI:
