Note You cannot use tftp to acquire this image because the file size exceeds 32 MB.

2. Enter the CLI service mode.

SM-WS5000> launch -c /image/PreUpgradeScript upgrade
Enter the Image Name: WS5000_v2.0.0.0_kdi

tar: Removing leading / from absolute path names in the archive.
Copying the image
Rebooting the system
The switch reboots three times in approximately five minutes, and then displays the 2.0 image. The image has
the same configuration it had before the upgrade. The serial console displays the system logs.
The logs display the switch passing through each reboot state before it finally displays the 2.0 image. The
telnet or ssh window displays the logs until the switch reboots the first time.
Note You can also provide the image name s a command line argument to the
PreUpgradeScript. If you do this, the script doesn't prompt for the image name.

2.3 Upgrading Using Autoinstall

This section describes how to upgrade to 2.0 using the autoinstall procedure.

2.3.1 Before Running Autoinstall

Before you run the autoinstall, ensure that you have the following files apart from the WS5000_v2.0.0.0-
xxxx.sys.kdi file:
