Connecting the MAMBO2-B6 to a PC USB port

After charging the internal battery has been completed, to be able to transfer data from/to the
MAMBO2-B6 device you have to power on the device and connect it to a Laptop or PC using the
included mini-USB-to-USB cable.
1. First turn on the MAMBO2-B6 and wait until the device is completely started and the first
screen on the display is shown.
2. If the inserted SIM card is protected by a PIN code, you will be requested to enter it, after
turning on the device. To enter it use the 5-way navigation key and confirm it with OK.
3. After the first overview screen on the MAMBO2 display is shown, plug in the USB connector of
the cable to a free USB port on your Laptop or PC and then plug the other site of this cable to
the mini-USB port of the MAMBO2-B6, as shown in the figure below.
4. When you connect the MAMBO2-B6 device to a PC for the first time, Windows
that unknown hardware has been found and start a procedure to find the corresponding driver
files and install them.
5. If the USB driver is still not downloaded from the FALCOM's website (go to: www.falcom.de >
Support > Drivers & Firmware and then select MAMBO2 from the selection box after Login),
download it. Browse the hardware assistant to the directory where the driver was stored (e.g.
D:\Driver). This will help Windows correctly install the USB driver.
6. When the device is properly installed, the windows device manager will look as shown
below:
* For Vista users, log on using the account of the Administrator, otherwise you will not be able to install the USB driver.
