Solution
Your PDT 8100 terminal requires at least twice
the amount of memory available as the data
you are receiving. For example, if you are
receiving a 30K application, you must have at
least 60K free.
Bring the terminal closer to the printer and
attempt communications again.
Check the path to ensure no objects were in the
way.
Printer support must be included with the
application to run IrDA printing on the terminal.
See your System Administrator.
Ensure the modem is connected to the terminal
and the telephone jack.
Verify the telephone jack is connected to a
working outside line.
Confirm setup is correct (see
Connections).
Ensure the network you are calling supports
PPP. Check with the network administrator.
Ensure your current location is correct. Select
Start, Settings, and the Connections tab. Tap
the Connections icon. Tap Dialing Locations
and verify the settings are correct for your
present location. Tap Dialing Patterns to ensure
the correct patterns are being dialed.
Verify you are dialing the right number. Watch
the Connecting dial-out screen.
Confirm the host modem is receiving a call
when you dial out.
