FUEL TANK
•
(Remove upper fairing).
•
(Remove rider seat).
•
(Remove pillion seat).
•
(Remove pillion grab handle).
•
(Remove helmet compartment).
•
(Remove fairing).
•
(Remove lower fairing and footboard).
•
(Remove fuel level sensor).
DANGER
During this procedure do not use heat and
keep sparks and naked flames well clear of
the scooter.
Make sure the tank is empty. Before emp-
tying the tank, wait for the engine to cool
down. Use a manual pump.
•
Remove fuel tank cap, remove gasket (A), discon-
necting it from the drip hose, then refit the cap.
Screw the fuel tank cap back on immedia-
tely after removing the gasket.
•
Disconnect fuel pump hoses (B) and fuel pump con-
nector (C).
•
Undo screws (V4) and remove tank (D).
There is a bushing (D) under each screw
(V4).
•
The tank support must rest on a rubber Silent Block
(F); ensure the rubber mount does not fall.
