TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
The engine starts and runs at the
correct speed, but there is no AC
auxiliary output voltage. The DC
welding generator is functioning
correctly.
The engine starts and runs normal-
ly. The machine takes a long time
to "build-up" and produce output
voltage. The AC auxiliary voltage
varies when the Fine Current
Control Rheostat is adjusted.
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the test/repairs safely, con-
tact the Lincoln Electric Service Department for electrical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed. Call 216-
383-2531 or 1-800-833-9353.
