TIMERS AND REMINDERS

USING TIMERS

You use Timers to set reminders about
programmes you would like to watch. You can
also use them to set your set-top box to change
channel at a certain time, for example if you wish
to use your VCR to record a digital programme.
Timers are stored in the Timer List. For more
information about the Timer List, see page 31.

SETTING A TIMER

To set a TImer, highlight a future programme in
the Zapping Window or EPG, then press OK.
A message displays asking you to confirm you
want to add the programme to the Timer List.
Highlight 'Yes' then press OK. If the programme
does not clash with another programme in the
Timer List, the Timer is added to the Timer List.

PROGRAMME CLASHES

If a programme you have selected for a Timer is on
at the same time as another programme (or
programmes) in the Timer List, a message
displays asking you what you want to do.
To remove all the previously selected
programme(s) from the Timer List, highlight
'Yes' then press OK.
To keep all the previously selected Timers,
and add the new Timer to the list, highlight
'No' then press OK.
If you want to cancel the new Timer, you can press
Esc/TV.
Kabel Digital
WATCHING A PROGRAMME WHEN YOU
SEE ITS REMINDER
Before a programme in your Timer List is due to
start, a reminder message displays on your TV
screen.
To watch the programme, highlight 'Yes' then
press OK.
To carry on watching the programme you are
already watching, without changing channel,
highlight 'No' then press OK.
If you do not select either 'Yes' or 'No', then, when
the programme starts your set-top box
automatically changes channel to show the
programme in the Timer List. This is useful if you
have set your VCR to record the programme. For
more information about using Timers with your
VCR, see page 28. If you do not want your set-top
box to automatically change channel, see
'Changing the Timer Options' on page 32.
NOTES: You can view the Timer List, change the
Timer settings, and delete programmes from the
Timer List if you wish. This is described on
page 31.
