Steps
1.
Use the hooks on the chassis as guides to align the hard-drive backplane.
2.
Lower the hard-drive backplane until the release tabs snap into place.
3.
Connect the SAS/SATA/SSD data, signal, and power cable(s) to the backplane.

1.
Install all SAS/SATA/SSD hard drives in their original locations.
2.
Reconnect the data, signal and power cables to the backplane.

CAUTION: The display module connector is a ZIF (zero insertion force) connector. Ensure that the
locking tab on the connector is released before removal and insertion. The locking tab must be
engaged after insertion.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the LCD display module cable, do not bend the control panel flex
cable after it is inserted into the connector.

1.
Disconnect the USB cable, control panel cable, and the LCD display module cable from the control-
panel board.
2.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure the control-panel board to the
chassis.
3.
Slide the control-panel board toward the back and lift it out of the system.
