3.5 Halftone (dither)

Halftone (dither) is a technique for reproducing images with halftones such as photos
in the Black and White mode. By using it in this mode, photo images can be scanned
faster and with less memory than in the grayscale mode. PIE provides five Halftone
(dither) patterns.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• Halftone (dither) cannot be used at the same time as Automatic Crop, Deskew,
Dynamic Threshold, Automatic Threshold or Noise Reduction.
