3.23 Color Matching

This function provides color matching with other equipment.
"sRGB" is an international standard for correctly reproducing colors between
computer displays, printers and scanners. With "ICM", the color matching is
controlled using the ICC profile describing the color range the scanner can effectively
reproduce. When sRGB or ICM is specified, the reproduction of the colors between
the equipment is improved, but the number of colors which can be reproduced is
lowered.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• When sRGB or ICM has been specified, it is not possible to specify Gamma or set
Chroma.
• This function is valid only for color images in the Color mode or MultiStream mode.
• ICM cannot be used in Windows NT 4.0 because it is not supported by the
operating system.
• ICM cannot be used in ISIS.
• The scan speed is decreased when ICM is used.
ISIS configuration method
1 Select the setting from the [Color Matching] list box of the [Advanced Settings]
dialog box.
None:
The scanned color image is directly displayed within the color space of the
scanner.
sRGB:
The scanned color image is converted to sRGB by the scanner.
