How to use setting a drop out color
1 Place the document on the scanner.
2 Click the [PreScan] button. The document is scanned and displayed in the
original view area. The image that is expected to result when the document is
scanned in the Black and White mode is displayed in the dropout view area.
3 Press the [Front Configure] or [Back Configure] button to select the scanning
side for which Color Drop Out is to be set.
4 Operate the [Zoom In] or [Zoom Out] button and the top, bottom, left and right
scroll bars on the color window to display in close-up the part in which Color
Drop Out is to be executed.
5 Use the mouse to drag the area in which Color Drop Out is to be executed.
• If [Remove] of the [Remove/Keep] button is selected, specify the color for
which Color Drop Out is to be executed.
• If [Keep] of the [Remove/Keep] button is selected, specify the color for which
Color Drop Out is not to be executed.
• When the original view area is dragged using the mouse, the colors included
in the specified area are set to the hue, saturation and brightness value
settings.
• When the dropout view (black and white expected image) area is dragged
using the mouse, the hue, saturation and brightness value ranges are
expanded in such a way that Color Drop Out is executed for the black parts
in the specified area.
6 Three dropout colors can be set for each scanning side. To select other dropout
colors as well, use the [Color Setting] button in the [Color Drop Out] dialog box
to repeat steps 4 and 5.
7 A name can be given to the set conditions which can be saved under this name.
Press the [Save As...] button in the [Color Drop Out] dialog box to display the
[Save As] dialog box, and input the name or select a name from the list. Press
the [OK] button to save the conditions under the name which has been set. The
saved conditions now appear in the [Setting Name] list box.
• If [Save Pre-Scan Image Too] has been checked on the [Save As] dialog box,
the image displayed in the original view area is also saved.
8 Upon completion of the settings, press the [OK] button in the [Color Drop Out]
dialog box. The Panasonic Multicolor Drop Out Utility is exited.
• When the [OK] button is selected, the settings of the selected setting name
are overwritten by the current settings.
This is for clearing all the current Color Drop Out
conditions.
This is for entering the current Color Drop Out
conditions and exits the utility.
This is for canceling the current Color Drop Out
conditions and exiting the utility.
