TWAIN configuration method
1 The JPEG compression quality is changed using the [JPEG Quality] slider bar
by clicking the [Color Image] or [Gray Image] (
[TWAIN] dialog box.
The other compression settings are not performed on the TWAIN setting screen.
Read the instructions accompanying the application you are using.
Since color and gray images have a large data size, it takes time to transfer the data
between the computer and scanner, and the scanning speed decreases. With the
TWAIN driver, a decrease in the scanning speed can be prevented by compressing
the data to be transferred between the computer and scanner.
1 Click the [Color Image] or [Gray Image] tab of the [TWAIN] dialog box, and set
the [High Speed Scanning (JPEG Compression)] check box to on.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• The image quality deteriorates slightly since High Speed Scanning (JPEG
Compression) is used.
• Gray image compression scanning cannot be used with the
