3.2 Resolution (Dots per inch)

This function specifies the resolution (dots per inch) for the main scanning and sub
scanning. Dots per inch (dpi) are used as the resolution unit, and 200 dpi are
equivalent to about 8 pixels per millimeter. When the resolution is increased, the
image becomes clearer but proportionately more memory (disk space) and
processing time are required. The available resolution setting ranges are as follows:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• In the MultiStream (Binary&Gray or Binary&Color) mode, the Color or Gray Image
Resolution can be set to a ratio of 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 of the Black and White
resolution. However, the color resolution cannot be set outside the 100 to 400 dpi

ISIS configuration method
1 Select the resolution from the [Dots per inch] list box in the [ISIS] dialog box.
2 To specify a resolution which is not on the list, input the desired value directly
100 to 600 dpi in 1 dpi increments
100 to 600 dpi in 1 dpi increments (Black and White, grayscale)
100 to 400 dpi in 1 dpi increments (Color)
or outside the 100 to 600 dpi range with the
