Cruise control
Cruise
control
enables the vehicle to main-
tain
a steady
speed
programmed
by the
driver, regardless
of
the road characteristics
and without the driver having to
touch
the
accelerator
or
brake
pedals.
To be
stored
in the
memory,
the
speed
of
the
vehicle must be over 25 m.p.h. (40
km/h).
Operation
Press switch 1. The indicator
light
will
come
on.
You can
put
a speed into the
memory.
Pressing the switch
again
deactivates
the
system.

Putting a speed into memory
As
soon
as
you
reach the
desired
speed,
push stalk
2
upwards
rapidly. This takes the
speed into
memory,
and
it
will
be
maintained
automatically.
Neutralising the memorised speed
If
you wish
to neutralise the memorised
speed
for
a few moments:
-
Pull
the
stalk
towards
you or press the
brake
or
clutch
pedal.
Recalling the
memorised
speed
After
neutralisation, flick
stalk
2
upwards. Your
vehicle
will
adopt the last memorised speed.

Changing a memorised speed
To memorise a
higher
speed than the previ-
ous
one,
keep stalk
2
pressed
upwards.
Release
it when
you
have
reached
the
desired speed.
To memorise a
lower
speed than the
previ-
ous
one,
keep
stalk
2
pressed
down.
Release
it
when you
have reached the desired speed.
Cancelling the memorised speed
The speed in the memory is
cancelled when
the ignition
is switched
off or by pressing
switch
1
(the
indicator
light goes out).
Do not
use the cruise
control
on
slippery roads
or in
heavy
traffic.
