Switching on the CD player
Insertion
of discs into the cartridge
The cartridge is
located
on
the
left hand
side
of
the
boot.
Position
the cartridge
M
with the insertion
arrow on the
top.
Insert the
CD with the printed
face on the
arrow side.
Repeat the previous two steps if
you wish
to
insert a new disc
into a
free space
on
the
cartridge.
The cartridge can hold up to six
discs.
The
system
can
play
CD
"singles"
(5 inch/8 cm).

Insert
the cartridge into the
CD
in
accordance
with
the
diagram
on
the opposite page.
Push
the cartridge

until a click indicates
that
it is
locked.
Close the sliding
panel

Selecting
the CD player
Inserting the cartridge
into
the
player
does
not
automatically
change the source.
To select the
CD
player, use the
SRC button

or the remote control
stalk.
Operation
Continuous
play
of the
discs in
a
cartridge
When
no
selection
is
made,
the discs inserted
in
positions
1
to
6
are
played
in
this
sequence.
Each track on each disc is played
in
order.
While a track is being
played,
the 8 character
display always shows
"TR [track
number]
CD"
and
the
pre-selection
display shows the
number
of
the disc being
played.
[track
number]
is the number of the track on the
disc.
At the end of the last
disc,
play starts again
from
the
first
disc.
A disc
can
also be selected using the remote
control
(selection
of
the
next
disc).
Traffic information
If
you
have
set your
system
to
TA
mode,
playing of a
CD
may be interrupted
at any
time for traffic
information.
Play starts again
as soon as the message has
finished.
Error
messages
If
there is no disc, a disc is placed upside
down or is
unplayable,
a
bleep
sounds
and
the message
"NO
DISC" is displayed.
If
the
player
is disconnected
during use or
if
a
mechanical
problem occurs when loading a
disc,
the display shows
"CD
ERROR" then
changes to radio.
Selecting a disc from the cartridge
Press
pre-selection
button
1
to
6 corre-
sponding to the disc selected.
While the disc is being loaded, the display
shows
"LOAD CD".
If the disc selected is missing or incorrectly
positioned,
the
system
emits a bleep and
dis-
plays
"NO
DISC". The player passes
auto-
matically to the following disc.
A
few seconds afterwards,
play starts
in the
sequence of the tracks on the
disc.
Fast forward/rewind
Press and hold down
button

The disc starts to play at the place on the disc
where the head is
positioned when
the
button
is released.

Selecting a track on a disc
Briefly press button

to position the
player at the start of the previous
track or

to position the player
at
the
start
of the following
track.
When
you are more than 5 seconds
past
the
start
of
the current
track,
the
first
touch
on
<Ill
returns the
player
to the
start
of this
track.
The
number
on
the display
is modified
accordingly.

Repeat
the previous step
until
the required
track is reached.
Play resumes
at the start of the selected
track.
A
track can also be
selected
using the remote
control.
