Notes on radio reception
Your
car
radio is
subject
to outside influences
which
do
not
affect
radios inside
buildings.
Both the
AM (LW/MW)
and
FM
reception are
liable to
different
kinds of interference which
are due to the nature of the signals and
not
the quality
of
your
receiver.
In
AM
reception,
you may experience
inter-
ference
when passing
under high-voltage
power
lines,
bridges
or
through
tunnels.
In FM
reception,
the reflection of
signals
from
fixed obstacles
can
cause
interference.
This system is
fitted with
Radio Data System
(RDS),
which
means
that,
for any
FM
station
which
fulfils
RDS
standards,
the radio
will
tune to whichever frequency
of
the transmit-
ting
station
has the
best
reception.
Selecting a waveband
Briefly
press the
"BND"
button
(13)
to
select
one
of
the
wavebands
which
appear
in
the
following sequence:
