5.4 Troubleshooting

LCD screen does not work
Check the mains wire is correctly connected to mains jack
Check the mains wire is correctly connected to power adapter
Check the power adapter is correctly connected to the POS
Printer does not work
Ensure printer cover is closed
Ensure printing paper size is correct Ensure printing paper is correctly
installed
Difficulty to read magnetic card
Ensure the card is not demagnetized
Ensure the magnetic bar is clean and tidy
Use a cleaning card to clean the magnetic reader
Difficulty to read IC card
Ensure the square ICC chip face upwards for reading
Use a cleaning card to clean the ICC reader
Difficulty to dialup modem
Ensure the telephone cable is correctly connected to the POS.
Ensure the POS is the only device using the telephone line. No other
device(telephone)shall be used at the same time.
