PPP is point to point communication protocol
Wire modem is using the telephone line to make the connection, be prepared to use
the telephone lines.
Wireless modem is using GPRS or CDMA network to make the connection, the POS
must have the wireless module.
Under the menu shown in figure 3-28, Press Key "1" and Key "2" to select wire
MODEM or wireless MODEM communication.
The usage of wire MODEM and wireless MODEM is similar. The following will
describe the PPP operation process of wire MODEM.
a.Under the menu shown in figure 3-29, Press Key "1" to open PPP communication. The
whole communication process will be handled by the POS, shown as figure 3-30.
Entering the menu of figure 3-30 means the PPP connection is done, press "ESC"to return
to the menu shown as 3-31.
b.Under the menu shown in figure 3-31(PPP is opened); Press Key "2"to close the PPP
communication, which will be handled by the POS, press "ESC" Key to quit.
