10.6 Checking S.M.A.R.T. Information
Purpose:
The S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a monitoring system for HDDs to
detect and report on various indicators of reliability in the hope of anticipating failures.
Steps:
1.
Enter the S.M.A.R.T. Settings interface.
Menu > HDD >HDD Detect >S.M.A.R.T. Settings
2.
Select the HDD to view its S.M.A.R.T. information list.
If you want to use the HDD even after the S.M.A.R.T. check indicates failure, you can check the
checkbox before the Continue to use this disk when self-evaluation is failed.
3.
Three self-tests of S.M.A.R.T are provided, including Short Test, Expanded Test and Conveyance
Test. You can select a self-test type and click
