Problem
The indicator light *
flashes four times and
k lights up.
The indicator light *
flashes five times and
k lights up.
Possible cause
The empty or
missing water
container is not
recognised by the
steam ironing
system.
Air is being drawn in
because the water
container is not
correctly in position.
The water feed
pump is activated,
but doesn't run.
The water filter is
blocked or missing.
The water filter is
faulty (e.g. broken).
There is a fault with
the steam ironing
system.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Switch off the appliance. Fill the
water container with fresh tap
water and push it back into the
appliance.
Do not use distilled water!
Switch the appliance back on.
The indicator light l lights up
constantly. The steam generator
is emptied automatically after it
has cooled down. It is then
refilled automatically and the
appliance is ready to use steam
again.
Clean and refit the water filter
(see 'Cleaning the water filter').
Fit a new water filter
(see 'Cleaning the water filter').
If the indicator light continues to
flash, call Miele.
Switch the appliance off and
then back on again.
If the indicator light continues to
flash, call Miele.
