Automatic descaling

To ensure trouble-free operation of the steam ironing system,
limescale deposits need to be removed regularly. To make
this easier, the appliance features an automatic descaling
function.
The need to descale is dependent upon the water hardness
level set.
The descaling intervals are shorter for hard water than for soft
water.
We recommend using Miele descaling tablets to descale
the steam ironing system. They have been specially
developed for the Miele steam ironing system to optimise
the descaling process.
Other descaling agents that contain not only citric acid but
other acids, and/or undesirable substances such as
clorides, may damage the steam ironing system. In
addition to this, the required cleaning effect cannot be
guaranteed due to different concentrations of the
descaling solution.
One tablet is required for each descaling process.
More descaling tablets can be ordered directly from Miele or
online at www.miele-shop.com (depending on country).
The iron or the steamer must not be connected when the
appliance is being descaled.
You do not need to supervise the appliance during the
descaling process.
