Steam ironing system

Problem
The indicator light 2
lights up constantly.
The steam function
on the iron or steamer
is not working.
Possible cause
The empty residual
water drawer has not
been detected.
The steam ironing
system is not
connected to the
electricity supply.
Neither the iron nor
the steamer is
plugged in.
The water container
is empty or not fitted.
The steam function is
not ready yet.
A fault has been
indicated by one of
the indicator lights.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Empty and dry the residual water
drawer completely. Wait for
approx. 20 seconds before
replacing the drawer.
Clean and dry the metal
contacts on the residual water
drawer and push it back into the
appliance.
If the indicator light does not go
out, call Miele.
Plug the connection cable into
the mains electricity supply,
switch on at the wall and switch
the appliance on with the On/Off
s button.
Connect the steam hose to the
steam connection socket on the
tower.
Fill the water container with fresh
tap water, push it into the
appliance and wait until the
appliance signals with the
indicator light * that it is ready to
use with steam.
Wait until the indicator light *
comes on to signal that the steam
function is ready for use.
Remedy the fault as explained in
the following pages.
If the steam function is still not
working, call Miele.
