Possible cause
The temperature

the iron is too low.
The steam function
is not ready for use
and the iron has not
reached its selected
temperature.
Due to a long pause
in ironing,
condensate has
formed in the steam
hose.
The appliance was
switched off during
the descaling
process or there
was a power failure.
The descaling
process has not
been carried out
correctly.
There is a fault with
the steam ironing
system.
Remedy
Set the temperature setting to at
ßß
least
(see 'Selecting the
temperature of the iron').
Wait until the indicator light *
signals the steam function is
ready for use and the iron has
reached its selected
temperature (see 'Selecting the
temperature of the iron').
To prevent the textiles from
becoming too damp, the first
burst of steam after a pause
should not be directed onto the
textiles themselves.
Wait a moment after restoring
power and switching on the
appliance. Descaling will start
again from the point at which the
power failure occurred or the
appliance was switched off.
Switch the appliance off and
then back on again.
If the indicator light continues to
flash, call Miele.
Call Miele.
