Starting the Setup Utility

Normally, the only visible Power-On Self-Test (POST) routine is the memory test.
As the memory is being tested, press the <Delete> key to enter the main menu of
the AMI BIOS Setup Utility. From the main menu, you can access the other setup
screens. An AMI BIOS identifi cation string is displayed at the left bottom corner of
the screen below the copyright message.
Caution! Do not upgrade the BIOS unless your system has a BIOS-related issue.
Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause irreparable damage to the system. In no event shall
Supermicro be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages
arising from a BIOS update. If you have to update the BIOS, do not shut down or reset
the system while the BIOS is updating. This is to avoid possible boot failure.

Boot Feature

Quiet Boot
This feature selects the bootup screen display between POST messages and
the OEM logo. Select Disabled to display the POST messages. Select Enabled
to display the OEM logo instead of the normal POST messages. The options are
Enabled and Disabled.
AddOn ROM Display Mode
This item sets the display mode for the Option ROM. Select Keep Current to use
the current AddOn ROM Display setting. Select Force BIOS to use the Option
ROM display mode set by the system BIOS. The options are Force BIOS and
Keep Current.
Bootup Num-Lock
This feature sets the Power-on state for the Numlock key. The options are Off
and On.
Wait For 'F1' If Error
Select Enabled to force the system to wait until the 'F1' key is pressed if an error
occurs. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
