Using the wide mode
ID-1 system
The ID-l system sends aspect ratio (screen horizontal/vertical ratio) information (16:9,
4:3, or letter box) with video signals. If you connect a TV compatible with the ID-l
system, the screen size is automatically selected.
ID-2 system
The ID-2 system sends a copyright protection signal with ID-l signals inserted between
video signals when you connect your camcorder to other equipment by an A/V
connecting cable.
If 16:SWIDE is set to ON (DCR-TRV240/TRV340 only)

The SteadyShot function does not work. If
you
set 16:9WIDE to ON in the menu settings
when the SteadyShot function is working, "fl flashes and the SteadyShot function
does
