5.6.7. EPOS system
When you want to print on a grey vinyl for example, it is possible that the Ultima will not detect the frame
(bounding box) on the vinyl. That's the main reason of the "Check sensor" menu. When you put the vinyl in
the Ultima, and you do a sensor check, and the ACD value is black, it will be impossible to do a contour cut
on that vinyl. When the ACD value displays white, you will not have any problems.
You can also use this menu to check if the Photodiode still works. Just draw a black box on a white paper,
and check if the Photodiode displays the right colour.
Step 1 :
Power ON the Ultima cutting plotter.
Step 2 :
Press the [TEST] key. The display will show the following message.
Step 3 :
By pressing the [UP] or [DOWN] key select 'EPOS system --> check sensor'. The Display on the
Operation Panel will show the following message.
Step 4 :
Press the [ENTER] key. The Display on the Operation Panel will show the following message.
Step 5 :
When you put a white A4-format paper (or one with white and black boxes on) under the sensor,
the display must show following message. Otherwise the sensor is broken.
