OPERATING THE ENGINE

OPERATING THE ENGINE
To avoid personal injury:
A Read "SAFE OPERATION" in the front of this
manual.
A Read the danger, warning and caution labels
located on the vehicle.
A To
avoid
the
poisoning, do not operate the engine in a
closed building without proper ventilation.
A Never start engine while standing on ground.
Start engine only at the operator's seat.
A Make it a rule to set the range gear shift lever to
the "NEUTRAL" position.
A Do not use starting fluid to aid engine starting.
A To protect the battery and the starter, make sure that
the starter is not continuously turned for more than 10
seconds.
If the engine dose not start, allow 60-second cool
down period between start attempts.

STARTING THE ENGINE

1. Make sure the parking brake is applied.

(1) Parking brake lever
A The brake indicator light comes on while parking brake
is applied and goes off when it is released.
(1) Brake indicator light
(A) Pull to "PARK"
