Hyperglycemia (high blood glucose)
Insulin pods use rapid-acting insulin, so you have no long-acting
insulin in your body. If an occlusion (interruption of insulin deliv-
ery from the pod) occurs, your blood glucose can rise rapidly.
Symptoms of hyperglycemia (high blood glucose)
• Fatigue
• Frequent urination, especially during the night
• Unusual thirst or hunger
• Unexplained weight loss
• Blurred vision
• Slow healing of cuts or sores
Hyperglycemia symptoms can be confusing.
Always check your blood glucose before you
treat for hyperglycemia.
