Cutting Media on the Craft ROBO
Cutting Procedure
1
(1) Read the Craft ROBO User's Manual to confirm how to use the Craft ROBO and perform cutting before performing any actual cutting.
(2) When loading media in the Craft ROBO, check that the print side (see Fig. 1) faces upwards and load the media (together with the protective liner in the case of media types q , w or e,
or affixed to the carrier sheet y in the case of media type t).
Please refer to the following "Points to Note" and to the Craft ROBO User's Manual for details on how to use the carrier sheet y when cutting media type t.
Points to Note:
After cutting, remove the media slowly and carefully from the carrier sheet y.
The adhesive quality of the carrier sheet y will deteriorate after repeated affixing and cutting operations. If this happens, replace it with a new carrier sheet.
(3) The blade length setting depends on the type of media used. Please refer to the "Media Types Contained in the Media Trial Kit" table and check the color of the blade adjustment cap and
whether or not the standoff ring is required.
Cutting Precautions
2
(1) A sharp blade is used in the cutter plunger. Take care not to cut yourself on the blade.
(2) Make sure that the ink is completely dry before cutting media that has been printed.

Media Handling Precautions

(1) Always hold media that show fingerprints or scratches easily by the edges. Ink may not adhere correctly in places where there are fingerprints.
(2) Take care not to get the printed media wet. The ink may smear or cause stains.
(3) The media types w and e use a strong adhesive. Do not affix your labels, decals, etc. to any objects where residual adhesive left when they are removed will cause a problem.
(4) Before affixing your labels, decals, etc., make sure that the target surface has been wiped clean of any water, oil, dirt or dust.
(5) Do not apply media types w and e to uneven surfaces or to matte surfaces. Strong adhesive has been used, but they may still lift off.
(6) Media easily absorbs moisture, so do not remove any sheets from the package until just before use.
(7) After the package has been opened, use the media as quickly as possible. Always store the sheets in the package they came in.
(8) Avoid storing media in high-temperature, high-humidity locations, or in locations exposed to direct sunlight.
