Possible Solution
No dial tone
•    M ake sure there is AC power to the AT&T 
Home Base. Do not connect to an AC
outlet controlled by a wall switch.
•    M ake sure your AT&T Home Base is 
powered on.
Press and hold the On/Off button on the
back of your device for three (3) seconds
until the Power light stays steady green.
•    M ake sure your cordless phone has 
power and is connected properly to the
AT&T Home Base.
•    M ove the AT&T Home Base to an area 
with sufficient network signal (Green or
Yellow Signal Strength light).
No caller ID name
•    L ike all wireless services, only the calling 
number is displayed with Caller ID.
•    Y our home phone may support the 
display of names stored in its contacts
memory.
My answering
•    S et your answering machine settings to
machine won't 
pick up calls before network voicemail,
pick up calls
which is approximately five
(5) rings.
•    A lternately the network voicemail
setting can be increased; dial 1 to access
the voicemail platform and follow the
prompts to increase the number of rings.
•    T o remove network voicemail from your
account, call AT&T Customer Care by
dialing 611 or 800.901.9878.

Poor voice quality
•    I nstall using the phone cable included 
with the AT&T Home Base.
•    M ake sure all connections are firmly in 
place.
•    M ove your AT&T Home Base to an area 
with sufficient network signal (Green or
Yellow Signal Strength light).
•    I ncrease the distance away from other 
electronic devices and the AT&T Home
Base (including cordless base stations,
Wi-Fi routers, and cell phones).
•    M ove the AT&T Home Base near a 
window with a clear unobstructed view of
the sky and remove any objects that may
be obstructing the wireless signal.
•    M ake sure the home phone that is 
connected to the AT&T Home Base is of
good quality and in good working order.
•    V oice quality may degrade with a low 
battery charge when operating with
back-up battery. Connect to an AC
power source to recharge when power is
available.

•    T he AT&T Home Base does not support 
indicator on my
this functionality with your home phone.

•    T he AT&T Home Base has a dedicated
