Overview

Clean the coffee machine regularly to avoid a build-up of bacteria.
Time interval
Each time milk is used to
make a drink, if more than
one hour has passed since
the last drink was made
Daily
(usually at the end of the
day before switching off the
appliance)
Once a week
(or more often if necessary)
Once a month
After approx. 15,000 drinks
have been dispensed
Depending on the water
hardness level in your area
Some components of the coffee machine are dishwasher-safe. However,
cleaning these in the dishwasher frequently can cause them to become
discoloured due to regular contact with food residues (e.g. tomatoes) in the
dishwasher. The surface can also become damaged.
All removable parts can be cleaned in the dishwasher except for:
– Capsule plate
– Plastic grille
– Capsule carousel and carousel runner
What do I have to do?
Rinse the lid of the cappuccinatore
Clean the cappuccinatore
Clean the water container
Clean the waste container
Empty the drip tray
Clean the grille and the drip tray cover
Clean the central spout cover
Clean the capsule carousel and carousel runner
Clean the drip tray inside the machine door
Clean the inside of the machine
Clean the steam valve
Clean the front of the machine (especially important straight after
descaling)
Clean the capsule plate (using cleaning tablets)
Replace the capsule hopper
Descale the machine when prompted to do so
