Making drinks
Preparing hot milk, milk froth
and cappuccino

Danger of burning and scalding
on the steam valve.
Steam and any hot water being
dispensed is very hot.
Do not place any part of your body
under the steam valve when it is
open.
Avoid touching any hot
components.
Please ensure that the steam valve
is properly connected to the
cappuccinatore when in its lowest
position.
When the valve is opened, it takes
some time before steam is emitted.
Particularly if Eco mode is switched
on, the steam system first needs to
heat up.
While milk is being prepared, no
messages will appear in the display.

Instructions for the cappuccinatore

Do not use milk with additives.
Sugar additives will adhere to the
milk pipework and damage the
machine and cappuccinatore.
Tip:To achieve good milk froth results,
only use cold milk (below 13 °C).
This appliance has a cappuccinatore
(milk frother) which is used to prepare
hot milk and milk froth.

Clean the cappuccinatore thoroughly
before using it for the first time,
preferably in a dishwasher (see
"Cleaning and care").
The cappuccinatore has a rotary valve
a above the handle and a milk spout
b on the side.
There are two options on the valve:

Hot milk
(Turn the valve anti-clockwise)
{
Milk froth
(Turn the valve clockwise)
Turn the rotary valve either clockwise
or anti-clockwise as far as it will go.
Steam will be emitted quite strongly if
the dot on the valve is between either
of these two settings.
