Explanation
Hardware or software fault in flash
memory.
The printer received the complete
program but the checksum did not
match. The data were corrupted
during download.
An interim message that displays
while the printer discards host data it
cannot use because a fault condition
exists. While this message displays,
the asterisk (*) rotates.
The new program is loading into
printer RAM. XX indicates how much
of the program has loaded.
The printer has deleted the previous
program from flash memory and is
loading the new program into flash
memory.
The printer finished loading the
program into flash memory and is
automatically resetting itself.
Normal download initialization
message.
The software running or being
downloaded does not match the
security PAL code.
The printer is loading the engine
controller program into the engine
controller.
EC software update in process.

Download the program
again: Power off the
printer and start over at
step 12. If the message
occurs again, replace the
flash memory.
Download the program
