Other radio frequency devices may be

Multiple wireless wall controllers installed

Troubleshooting
Possible solution(s)
Switch off power at the service panel and lock the service disconnecting means. (If it
cannot be locked, fasten a prominent warning device.) Tighten the airfoil hardware to
29 ft·lb (39.3 N·m). If popping still occurs, verify that the airfoils are not contacting each
other. If the airfoils are contacting each other, please contact Customer Service.
Verify the following:
• All wires are securely connected.
• The run enable circuit is closed. See pages 30–33 for wiring diagrams. If the run
enable circuit is open, close the circuit, and then reset power to the fan.
• The wall controller has power.
• Supply power is adequate and functional.
• All fuses are functional. If a fuse is blown, see page 51 for instructions on replacing
fuses.
If the fan still does not start, contact Customer Service.
Change the wall controller's address. Select a different address on the wall controller,
and then set the matching address on the fan RF board(s). Turn on the fan(s) using
the wall controller to test the new address. Repeat until an appropriate address is
determined. See page 49 for instructions on changing the address.

using the wall controller to test the new address. Repeat until an appropriate address is

Ensure the wall controller is installed according to the distance guidelines on page 36. If
it is not, contact Customer Service for assistance.
The wall controller may have been installed in a metal junction box, which may
reduce the distance that the controller can communicate with the fan(s). To optimize
communication between the wireless wall controller and the fan(s), Big Ass Fans
recommends installing the wireless wall controller in a plastic junction box. Contact
Customer Service for assistance.
