4. Fasten wood framing channels (to brackets, wood frame mounting only)

The center-to-center distance between the two beams or joists between which the fan will hang cannot be greater than
24 in (61 cm). If mounting to bar joists or a solid beam, proceed to step 5.
Fasten the wood framing channels to the brackets using the Wood Frame Mounting Hardware as shown. Torque the Wood Frame
Mounting Hardware to 25 ft·lb (33.9 N·m). See the appropriate illustration for your specific mounting structure.
Proceed to step 5.
Wood Frame Mounting Hardware (BAF-Supplied):
a. (2) Wood Framing Channel
b. (4) 3/8"-16 Spring Nut
c. (4) 3/8" Flat Washer
d. (4) 3/8"-16 x 7/8" Bolt
If the hardware is stainless steel, do not use
power tools!
*Mount the brackets either flush with the tops of the
beams or toward the middles of the beams as shown
above.
