CHECKING THE CARBURETOR

1.Check :
• carburetor body
• float chamber
• jet housing
• fuel passages
Durt/Obstruction → Clean
Cracks/damage → Replace.

a.Wash the carburetor in a petroleum-based
solvent. Do not use any caustic carburetor
cleaning solution.
b.Blow out all of the passages and jets with
compressed air.
2.Check :
• float chamber rubber gasket
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
3.Check :
• main jet
• needle jet
• pilot jet
Contamination → Clean.

4.Check :
• float
Damage → Replace.
• needle valve
Wear/Contamination → Replace
• gasket
Damage → Replace.

5.Check :
• Throttle valve
Damage/Wear → Replace.
