3.16 Call Waiting Deluxe service
(Cordless handset only)
To use Call Waiting Deluxe, you must subscribe to your
telephone company's Call Waiting Deluxe service.
This feature not only allows your cordless handsets to
display a second caller's information, but also offers your
variety of ways to deal with the second call.
Important:
L Please consult your telephone company for
details and availability of this service in your
area.
Note:
L Make sure the Call Waiting Deluxe service is turned
ON (feature #57 or feature 054 on page 52)
beforehand.
3.16.1 Call Waiting Deluxe service options
When a second call is received, you can choose how to
handle the call by selecting an option shown on the
cordless handset display.
Note:
L Your telephone company may not offer all of the
options shown below.

"Answer"
"Hold"
"Announcement"
"Forward"
"Drop"
"Conference"
"Return"
Function
Answers the waiting call, while
keeping the first call on hold.
Holds the waiting call. The
caller will hear the pre-
recorded hold message played
by the telephone company.
The caller will hear the pre-
recorded busy message
played by the telephone
company (for example, "We
are not available now.") and will
then be disconnected.
Forwards the waiting call to the
Voice Mail service provided by
your telephone company. You
must subscribe to Voice Mail
service to use this function.
Disconnects (drops) the
current call and answers the
waiting call.
Answers the waiting call and
combines it with the current
call to make a conference call
(third-party call).
Returns to the waiting caller
while keeping the current call
on hold.

3.16.2 To use Call Waiting Deluxe service

When you hear a Call Waiting tone during an outside
call, press {CALL WAIT}.
L The option menu will be displayed.

Select the desired option. i {Select} (soft key)
L After selecting "Answer", "Hold" or
"Conference", you can select another option.

Note:
L To exit from the option menu, wait for 20 seconds.
