Cleaning the Platen

The Platen, if contaminated with grit, label adhesive, or ink can cause a decline in print quality and, in
extreme cases, cause labels to adhere to the roller. Clean the Platen as follows:
NEVER use a sharp object on the Platen.
CAUTION
1. Turn OFF and unplug the printer. Move media away from the Platen.
2. Using a Cotton Swab (or lint-free cloth) dampened with isopropyl alcohol, gently wipe the Platen
clean, rotating it as needed to clean the entire surface. Allow the Platen to dry.
3. Reinstall media. Latch the Printhead Assembly and close the cover.

2. Using a brush or compressed air, remove all debris from the Media Sensor.
Note:
To remove adhesive buildup, wipe the Media Sensor clean using a Cotton Swab dampened
