To clear a paper misfeed in the bypass tray

Remove all paper from
the bypass tray.

If misfed paper cannot
be pulled out, pull the le-
ver for the sliding plate of
the bypass tray, and
then pull the sliding plate
toward you.

Pull the sliding plate to-
ward you, and then care-
fully pull out any misfed
paper.
