Cause
The fusing unit is not installed
correctly.
The indicated toner cartridge
is not installed correctly.

stalled correctly.
The image transfer belt unit is
not installed correctly.
The indicated drawer has run
out of paper.
The toner for the indicated
color is about to run out.
Since the toner for the indi-
cated color has run out, the
machine is unable to make
copies.
The staples have run out.
Since a paper misfeed oc-
curred, the machine is unable
to make copies.
After clearing a paper mis-
feed, it is necessary to reload
certain pages of the docu-
ment that have already been
fed through the ADF.
The machine malfunctioned
and is unable to make copies.
ΠCS Remote Care was acti-
vated by the technical repre-
sentative.
 Internet ISW is being
downloaded.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Reinstall the supplies or parts, or
contact your technical representa-
tive.
Load paper into the indicated draw-
er. (See "Loading Paper into the 1st
Drawer" on page 2-46, "Loading
Paper into the 2nd, 3rd or 4th Draw-
er" on page 2-51, "Loading Paper
into the LCT" on page 2-54, and
"Loading Paper into the Bypass
Tray" on page 2-57.)
Prepare to replace the toner car-
tridge according to your mainte-
nance agreement.
Replace the toner cartridge accord-
ing to your maintenance agreement.
Replace the staple cartridge. See
"Replacing the Staples" on
page 9-9.
Clear the paper misfeed. (See
"When the Message "Misfeed de-
tected." Appears" on page 5-5.)
Load the indicated document pages
into the ADF.
Inform your technical representative
of the code displayed on the touch
panel.
Do not turn off the machine with the
auxiliary power button while this
message is displayed.
After turning off the machine with
the auxiliary power button, turn off
the main power switch, and then
contact the technical representa-
tive.
