preferences.
Specifying the Data Compression Ratio for Sending Color
Documents
You can set the compression ratio for color scanned data. A high compression ratio
reduces the amount of memory used for the document, but results in low quality
images. Conversely, a low compression ratio increases the amount of memory
used for the document, but results in high quality images.
NOTE
• This setting is effective when [JPEG], [PDF], or [PDF (OCR)] is selected as the file
format.
• If you are sending documents via I-fax and fax or to a USB memory media device, this
setting is disabled.
