CLAMP BRACKET AND SWIVEL BRACKET
NOTE:
Before installing clamp bracket to swivel bracket, apply grease
to clamp bracket shaft and bushings.
99000-25161 : Suzuki Water Resistant Grease
1. Insert PORT and STBD bushings 2 into swivel bracket
1.
2. Assemble port clamp bracket 3, washer 4, clamp bracket
shaft 5 and swivel bracket 1.
3. Install PTT unit assembly 6, lower shaft and bushings in
position.
(For PTT unit assembly installation, see page 8-15 to 8-16)
4. Install washer 7, STBD clamp bracket 8 and clamp bracket
shaft nut 9, then tighten clamp bracket shaft nut to speci-
fied torque.
Clamp bracket shaft nut :
5. Tighten lower shaft bolts 0, pre-coated with thread lock, to
specified torque.

Cylinder lower shaft bolt :
43 N . m (4.3 kg-m, 31.0 lb.-ft.)
50 N . m (5.0 kg-m, 36.0 lb.-ft.)
