Introduction

This manual describes the KTG41/ATXu board made by KONTRON Technology A/S. The board will also be
denoted KTG41.
The KTQ41 boards supports the Intel® Core™2 Quad processor Q9000 series, the Intel® Core™2 Duo
processor E7000 and E8000 series with a maximum TDP of 95W. These processors belong to the Intel
Yorkfield and Wolfdale families.
Use of this Users Guide implies a basic knowledge of PC-AT hard- and software. This manual is focused on
describing the KTG41 special features and is not intended to be a standard PC-AT textbook.
New users are recommended to study the short installation procedure stated in the following chapter before
switching-on the power.
All configuration and setup of the CPU board is either done automatically or by the user in the CMOS setup
menus, except for the CMOS Clear jumper (JBAT1), SPI jumper (JP6), Interface BIOS jumper (JP4 and
JP5).
