FRONT BRAKE
3.Install:
Copper washers
Brake hose
Union bolt
Union bolt:
27 Nm (2.7 m • kg, 19 ft • lb)
NOTE:
Tighten the union bolt while holding the
brake hose as shown.
Check that the brake hose does not touch
other parts (throttle cable, wire harness,
leads, etc.) by turning the handlebar left and
right, and correct if necessary.
WARNING
Proper hose routing is essential to insure
safe machine operation. Refer to "CABLE
ROUTING".
Always use new copper washers.
4.Install:
Brake lever
5.Fill:
Brake master cylinder reservoir
Recommended brake fluid:
DOT 4
NOTE:
If DOT 4 is not available, 3 can be used.
CAUTION:
Brake fluid may erode painted surfaces or
plastic parts. Always clean up spilled fluid
immediately.
WARNING
Use only the designated quality brake
fluid: otherwise, the rubber seals may
deteriorate, causing leakage and poor
brake performance.
