10. While a second person supports the projector, remove the two thumbscrews and carefully
allow the projector to swing down. Keep the two thumbscrews nearby, as you'll need them
later.

11. Replace the filter as described on page 51 of the NEC VT470/570/670 User's Manual.
12. Replace the projector lamp as described on page 53 of the NEC VT470/570/670 User's
Manual.
13. Replace the projector by reversing steps 1 through 10.

Lens Ring

The lens ring that surrounds the short-throw, customized projector lenses is gray. Warnings
included in the 2000i installation guide on pages 4, 5 and 21 state that the ring is blue.

Adjusting the Orientation Precision

The following procedure explains how to change the orientation level in the latest version of
SMART Board software and replaces the information given on page 31 of the 2000i installation
guide.
To orient using the Fine (20-point) or Quick (4-point) orientation levels
1. Press the SMART Board icon in the system tray (Windows computers) or in the Dock
(Macintosh computers), and select Control Panel.
2. Select SMART Board Settings.
3. Select Alignment/Orientation Precision from the list.
4. Press Quick (4 points) or Fine (20 points).
5. Press OK.
6. Perform the 4-point or 20-point orientation.
NOTE: This setting will remain in effect for all subsequent orientations until you restore the
default, 9-point orientation or otherwise change the orientation level.
