Solution
• Flat jet: Select larger nozzle.
(See nozzle list)
• Increase material pressure
• Thin material in accordance
with the manufacturer's
instructions
• Clean or replace fi lter
• Clean or replace nozzle
• Turn tension nut
anticlockwise
• Readjust atomizing air
• Select smaller nozzle (see
nozzle list)
• Thin material in accordance
with the manufacturer's
instructions
• Reduce material pressure
• Replace nozzle
• See chap. 8.4 for repairs
• Change air seal
• Change seal
• Change tappet seal
• Check earthing of object or
hanger with ohmmeter
• Check resistance of paint in
accordance with chap. 4.1.1
• Readjust pressure
• Check earthing
• Reduce distance between
spray gun and object
