The BREAK key is often used to stop the com-
puter while it is doing
something.
Pressing it
now will only cause the cursor to move to the
beginning of the next
line.
SCREEN 1
Then if you press it again, the cursor moves
down to the next
line.
SCREEN 2
The BREAK key has a more important use when
running a
program.
It is used to stop a program
while it is running. You'll see how this works la-
ter in the exercises on using the BASIC
language.
